The people who came up with INSANITY aren’t joking when they talk about working out in a pool of your own sweat. That’s what happened to me yesterday and today, and it will continue as long as I push myself, and as they say in the videos, “Dig Deep!”
Day 1 - Day 1 is the fit test. It is a set of moves you perform repeatedly to see what level you’re on. I think I did fairly well. In the program, you do the fit test every 15 days to see how you’re performance is improving. Anyway, about 2/3s into the fit test, I thought I was going to toss my cookies. At that point, I pressed the pause button and took about a minute extra before moving on to the next exercise. I finished, I was please with my results, and today I AM SORE! My calves, hamstrings and glutes are all burning. I don’t mind being sore, in fact I welcome it. It tells me that I pushed myself and that changes are going to happen in my body.
Day 2 - Day 2 is a the plyo cardio circuit. I couldn’t believe how intense the WARM UP was. Seriously, it was half the video, and it was tough! It was all simple exercises, but you keep repeating them with more intensity. The workout itself was great, and I couldn’t believe how much I was sweating! I have a set of weights on the floor where I was working out and I could see wet spots where sweat had fallen. Gross, I know, but true.
I am so excited about this program, and I can’t wait to share the next 60 days with you!
